What kind of evidence is used to evaluate and decide my disability benefit claim?

The evidence used are your medical records, your education, your past vocational experience, your age, your testimony, the statements from close family members and friends, and your overall credibility with respect to what you say versus what the medical records reflect. All of that combined is what determines whether or not you are disabled under the Social Security law.
