If I am unable to return to work until my doctor releases me, does my Florida employer have to hold my job for me?

The Florida employer does not have to hold your job open for you until you have been released to return to work by the authorized treating physician. However, as long as you are under the authorized treating physician’s care and you are unable to work, you are entitled to receive workers’ compensation checks from the workers’ compensation carrier.
