Can I collect Social Security Disability, long-term disability, and workers’ compensation at the same time?
The short answer is yes. Many long-term disability policies require the person to file for such security disability benefits, and the reason that is done is such that the long-term disability company can receive an offset from the Social Security benefits that the client receives. Also, if you were injured on the job and you’re receiving workers’ compensation benefits and you are also on Social Security Disability benefits for that injury, then you can receive both Social Security benefits and workers’ comp at the same time, and if you are then there’s an offset on the workers’ comp benefits from the Social Security benefits that you’re receiving.
