What is no-fault insurance?

Florida is known as a no-fault state. It requires all of the drivers to carry $10,000 of personal injury protection, which will pay 60 percent of the lost wages, or 80 percent of the medical bills, up to $10,000, regardless of fault. That means, even if you caused the injury, you can still obtain medical bills and lost wages from your insurance company, regardless of negligence or fault.
